India's housing lottery scheme

India has a major housing shortage in its cities, especially for its poorest, many of whom are in transit camps waiting for homes to be built.

But for a few middle class Indians there is a glimmer of hope - a lottery scheme which gives a chosen few the chance to buy a house at an affordable price.
