Which? launches 'super-complaint' against supermarkets

The consumer group, Which? has formally requested an investigation into the special offers and promotions used by supermarkets.

It has submitted a super-complaint to the Competition and Markets Authority, arguing consumers cannot tell when they are getting value for money.

In particular, Which? outlined concerns about special offers, difficulty in comparing prices and shrinking pack sizes without any corresponding price reduction.
