What is GDP and how is it measured?

The UK's latest GDP (Gross Domestic Product) figures are released on Tuesday, a key indicator of how the national economy is performing.

BBC News explains in just over one minute, how your daily activities can have a bearing on the GDP calculation, which is made by the Office of National Statistics, on a quarterly basis.
