South African snails headed for China

Abalone- or marine snails- are considered to be a delicacy in East Asia.

With Chinese New year just around the corner, suppliers will be inundated with orders from Asia's burgeoning middle-class.

South Africa is the largest exporter of farmed abalone to the Chinese market. The BBC's Jason Boswell has been to the coastal town of Hermanus to find out more.
