NUT teaching union votes for strike ballot

Members of the National Union of Teachers have voted to ballot on strike action over cuts to their pension packages.

Delegates at the NUT conference in Harrogate voted almost unanimously in favour of the ballot.

Industrial action could take place as early as June, affecting millions of children across England and Wales.
