Union claims teaching assistants are running classes

Teaching union, the NASUWT, claims some schools are flouting the law by using untrained staff to take classes.

Teaching assistants are allowed to help qualified staff but not to be in overall charge.

The union says some schools are using them instead of teachers to save money.

Reeta Chakrabarti reports.

With comment from Darren Northcott, National Officer for Education.
