Strike call from NASUWT teachers' union

The teaching union, the NASUWT, has passed a resolution calling for industrial action, including strikes, to be stepped up, in a dispute about pay, pensions, working conditions and job losses.

Brian Cookson, the National Treasurer for the NASUWT, told the BBC the union is prepared to step up action in order to combat the way the government is treating education and the teaching profession.
