Free school founder: 'Ofsted was disappointing '

While most Free Schools are being graded good or outstanding, a number are getting less positive verdicts from Ofsted.

One of those is the flagship Bedford Free School, set up by a group of teachers. Today reporter Sanchia Berg has been back to the school to speak to its founder, Mark Lehain.

He says, "We have a really lovely relationship between teachers and students."

Mr Lehain adds, "Ofsted was disappointing however we've already implemented some of the recommendations."

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Friday 9 May 2014.
