Election 2015: Cameron defends Fallon's attack on Labour over Trident

Conservative leader David Cameron has defended Michael Fallon's comments regarding Labour and the renewal of the Trident nuclear weapons system.

Ed Miliband accused the Conservatives of running a campaign "based on lies and deceit", after Mr Fallon said Labour would use the nuclear deterrent as a "bargaining chip" with the SNP, which would vote to scrap it.

Mr Cameron told the BBC that Labour was "in chaos" over the issue and that "there would be a price to pay" for a coalition between Labour and the SNP.
