A boy who killed a man has been given an 11 year sentence

A 13-year-old boy who admitted murdering a builder in north London has been sentenced at the Old Bailey to at least 11 years in detention.

The boy stabbed Christopher Barry, who was 53, in December after a row about access to a block of flats in Edmonton.

Detective Inspector Andy Kelly from the Met Police's Homicide and Major Crimes Command said it was a "tragic case which demonstrates the dangers of carrying a knife".
