New production of Julius Caesar opens - with BBC film to follow

A new all-black production of Julius Caesar has opened at the Royal Shakespeare Company - its latest project for the World Shakespeare Festival, part of the London 2012 Festival.

It is a new interpretation by artistic director Greg Doran, set in post-independence Africa.

The RSC has also been working in collaboration with the BBC to make a film of the play, shot partly on location and partly in the theatre.

Lindsay Doyle spoke to Paterson Joseph, who plays Brutus, Greg Doran, and film producer John Wyver.

Julius Caesar will be on BBC Four at the end of June 2012.
