Winners at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Nick Payne's Constellations scooped best play at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards on Sunday - the youngest playwright to have received the award.

The play, which stars Rafe Spall and Sally Hawkins, explores a couple's relationship in a series of alternative universes.

Danny Boyle and his creative team were recognised for the London 2012 Olympics Opening ceremony with the Beyond Theatre award.

Hattie Morahan took the best actress prize for her portrayal of trapped housewife Nora in Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House at the Young Vic.

The best actor prize went to Simon Russell Beale for his portrayal of Stalin in the black comedy, Collaborators, at the National Theatre.

Lolita Chakrabarti picked up the award for Most Promising Playwright with her first play - Red Velvet. Her husband Adrian Lester starred in the play.

And Judi Dench was honoured for her contribution to world theatre.
