Tate director defends site over Kraftwerk ticket crash

The Director of The Tate has defended its website, after it crashed when Kraftwerk tickets went on sale.

The German electro pioneers are due to play eight shows in the venue's Turbine Hall.

The gallery's website apparently could not cope with the demand when booking opened at 07:30GMT.

Nicholas Serota told the BBC that fans would still be able to buy tickets throughout Wednesday.
