Kodaline on having High Hopes

It was their schoolboy dream to start a band and one day perform all over the world and for Steve Garrigan, Mark Prendergast, Vinny May and Jason Boland, that dream has become a reality.

The Irish alternative rock group Kodaline first gained major attention when they featured in the BBC Sound of 2013 list.

They have had a busy schedule this year, performing in 25 festivals so far and preparing to embark on their own headline UK tour.

The band spoke to BBC Breakfast ahead of the upcoming Reading and Leeds festivals, as well as performing a snippet of their song High Hopes.
