Sir Ian McKellen: Hobbit film may not be 'end of the journey'

Sir Ian McKellen has said that he is not sure the final Hobbit film will actually be "the end of the journey".

He has played Gandalf in all six of Peter Jackson's films set in Middle Earth.

He was speaking at the premiere of the final Hobbit film The Battle of the Five Armies, which was attended by many fans of the series.

The director himself said the support from fans gave him a "real boost" and helped encourage him to make the films.
