He grew up in London's East End, leaving school at just sixteen with a single O-level in art. Yet Alexander McQueen went on to become one of the kings of British fashion.

Now, five years after his tragic death, a new exhibition showcasing his work is about to open at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

BBC Breakfast's Tim Muffett met up with curator Claire Wilcox for a sneak preview.
