Talking Movies on the female filmmakers of the past
Many view the new female-driven Ghostbusters movie as a positive step forward for women in Hollywood.
However in the early days of cinema, women wielded comparatively more power than they do today.
During the silent era women worked as producers, directors and writers; in some instances they even ran studios, as Talking Movies' Tom Brook reports.
