Billie Piper: 'Time for a female Doctor'

Peter Capaldi has announced he is stepping down from the lead role in Doctor Who at the end of the year.

Billie Piper, who played companion Rose Tyler, told the BBC it would "feel like a snub" if the role didn't go to a woman.
