Pledge to end mixed-sex hospital accommodation

An end to mixed-sex accommodation in England's hospital wards, could be in sight. And hospitals which do not comply, may be fined.

Patients' groups say the move should have been made years ago.

But Labour has called it a 'hollow gesture' as most mixed-sex wards have already been phased out.
