Men 'reluctant to seek health help'

Men are more likely to avoid going to their GP and more likely to suffer from serious illnesses than woman, according to new research.

Doug Devaney suffered an angina attack but tried to carry on without seeking immediate medical treatment as he "didn't want to be a fuss".

The Men's Health Forum, which carried out the study, is launching a new campaign to tackle the health gender gap. Peter Baker, from the charity, told BBC Breakfast that health services should be made more accessible for working people.
