Breast screening under review

The UK's breast cancer screening programme is being reviewed following controversy about the scheme's effectiveness.

The NHS says screening saves 1,400 lives in England alone, but some researchers have said it does more harm than good.

The independent review will be lead by the national cancer director for England, Professor Sir Mike Richards.
