Nursing and midwife unions formally oppose health bill
Two unions representing health professionals have announced their formal opposition to the government's plans to overhaul the NHS in England.
Previously, the Royal College of Nursing and the Royal College of Midwives had worked with ministers to modify the proposals.
Now they are joining the British Medical Association in declaring themselves against the changes.
Howard Catton, from the Royal College of Nursing said this was not a decision they had taken lightly.
