Carer: Put son first and almost missed cancer diagnosis

The UK's "army of unpaid carers" is being "let down" by the failing social care system, campaigners have been warning.

Eight leading charities, including Age UK and Carers UK, have joined together to highlight the plight they face under the umbrella of Carers Week.

Tracy Sloan, who looks after her 20-year-old son who has Cerebral Palsy, almost missed her own cancer diagnosis as she put off a smear test because she always put her son first.
