Doctors just asking for fair treatment, says BMA

Doctors across the UK are taking industrial action in protest against plans to make them pay more, and for longer, into their pensions.

Their union, the British Medical Association, has taken steps to ensure all urgent and emergency care will be provided but the Department of Health, in England, says patients will suffer.

The chairman of the BMA, Hamish Meldrum, said anyone with an urgent medical problem will receive treatment.
