Minister criticises magazines for promoting 'fad diets'

The minister for women and equalities has written to magazine editors to ask them not to promote post-Christmas "miracle" diets because they pose a "health risk".

Jo Swinson said the promotion of fad diets "perpetuates self-hate" and wants magazines to promote a more positive body image message.
