Hand transplant: inside operating theatre
A former pub landlord from West Yorkshire has become the first person in the UK to have a hand transplant in an eight-hour operation.
Mark Cahill, who is 51, had been unable to use his right hand after it was affected by gout.
Footage, to be aired in a BBC One documentary, shows inside the eight-hour operation at Leeds General Infirmary.
Consultant plastic surgeon Professor Simon Kay said he was "happy" with the results so far.
