Public smoking ban reduces teenage uptake - report

The ban on smoking in all enclosed public areas - designed to protect people from passive smoking - may also have reduced the number of teenagers taking up the habit, according to a new study.

Researchers from the universities of Glasgow and Stirling, and the Welsh government, say the impact is particularly noticeable among teenage girls.
