New satellite will give quicker solar storm warnings

A new deep space satellite will give quicker and more accurate notice about approaching solar storms.

Solar storms are capable of disrupting mobile communications and GPS navigation and can even knock out entire power grids.

The new DSCOVR satellite will help to improve the warning system dramatically.
