Calls for more investment in parks and nature reserves

Researchers from some of the world's top universities have joined forces to try to put a value on the world's nature reserves and parks, which attract 8 billion visits per year.

The research suggests the economic benefit of such open spaces far outweighs the amount spent protecting them, and calls for more money to be invested in them.
