Medical experts say exposure to pollution at a young age can have life-long consequences.

And yet parents often have to wheel their children about our polluted cities in prams and buggies that are themselves not much above exhaust height.

The World at One's Chris Vallance has been looking at one scheme that hopes to help parents steer their offspring away from the fumes.
