Have landlines lost their appeal in the mobile era?

Most people in the UK still have a landline phone, but with mobile phone communication now much cheaper how long will this last?

Some speculate that the era of the home phone is coming to an end as technology advances and that they may soon be consigned to the history books.

BBC Breakfast's Keith Doyle has been finding out more.
