Lucid dreaming applications put to the test

Lucid dreaming occurs when a sleeping person becomes aware that they are dreaming, and can impose a fantasy of their own choosing.

Once confined to a handful of niche groups, the phenomenon has rocketed in recent years, spurred on by a recent spate of innovations from smartphone and tablet applications to specialist eye masks.

Sophie Robehmed recorded a dream diary as she tried out some of the applications available to see if they work.
