Experts recommend LinkedIn users should change passwords

Technology experts have said LinkedIn users should change their passwords on all their internet accounts, after hackers posted a file containing encrypted passwords from the social networking site online.

Technology consultant Tom Cheesewright recommended that members of the site should alter their passwords today, even if they changed them yesterday, as hackers may have their new details.

He also said users should change all their passwords for other internet sites, including email accounts and other social network sites.

LinkedIn has said some of its members' passwords have been "compromised" after reports that over six million' passwords had been leaked onto a Russian web forum.
