Marlon King: 'I did not sexually assault a female'

After serving nine months in prison for sexually assaulting and punching a 20-year-old woman in a nightclub, footballer Marlon King is free and looking for a new club so he can resume his playing career.

He was out celebrating his wife's pregnancy when he hit a university student who turned down his advances.

He was jailed for 18 months and served half that. After the jury found him guilty, they were told he had 13 previous convictions.

Wigan, his club at the time, sacked him.

Marlon King is appealing against his conviction, he says he did not do it, and claiming it was a case of mistaken identity.
