Legal aid changes 'will ensure access'

Hugh Barrett from the Legal Services Commission has said changes to the provision of legal aid will not reduce access to the service.

The number of firms able to offer legal aid has been cut from 2,400 to 1,300, leading to accusations that vulnerable people could be left without representation.
