Army called to clear snow in Scotland

The armed forces have been clearing snow and ice from roads and pavements in Edinburgh.

Freezing temperatures mean many roads are still treacherous, causing massive disruption across Scotland.

Hundreds of schools remain closed and many petrol stations have run out of fuel.

The BBC's Lorna Gordon reports.
