Hague: 'We should have faith in the people of Egypt'

Foreign Secretary William Hague has reacted to the resignation of Hosni Mubarak, by saying "we should have faith in the people of Egypt to shape their destiny".

Hosni Mubarak stepped down as Egypt's president after weeks of protests by anti-government demonstrators in Cairo and other cities.

Prime Minister David Cameron has called the events "Egypt's moment of opportunity".
