UK servicemen and women honoured

A Gurkha who single-handedly fought off an attack by 15 Taliban insurgents has been awarded Britain's second highest medal for bravery.

Acting Sergeant Dipprasad Pun of the Royal Gurkha Rifles was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross after repelling the attack in Afghanistan in September.

A total of 136 UK servicemen and women are being honoured, four posthumously.

The BBC's Caroline Wyatt reports.
