First Minister Peter Robinson makes appeal over Ronan Kerr murder

Northern Ireland's First Minister, Peter Robinson, has issued a public appeal over the murder of a Catholic police officer, urging anyone with information to come forward.

Constable Ronan Kerr was killed by a car bomb outside his home in Omagh.

He is the second member of the Police Service of Northern Ireland to be killed since it was established 10 years ago.

Mr Robinson visited the Kerr family on Sunday to express his sympathy.

Speaking to reporters afterwards he said "this community has entered a new era and we will not be dragged back".
