Police say Agnes murder weapon used in six London shootings

Two men have been jailed for life for murdering a 16-year-old girl who was shot in an east London pizza shop.

What the jury did not know was the gun that killed her had been used in six other shootings across London.

Det Chief Insp John Crossley, who led the investigation, told the BBC's Colette McBeth that it was not unusual for guns to "change hands".

"When they've been used criminally people will try and get rid of them to distance themselves from that crime," he said.

My Crossley added that in the past year gun crime had fallen by 40% in the area.
