UK economy grows by 0.5% in first quarter of 2011
The UK has avoided slipping back into recession - just - with growth of 0.5% in the first three months of 2011 according to official figures.
The chancellor said the figures were "good news" after a harsh early winter caused a contraction at the end of 2010, but Labour says it is the sign of a "flat-lining" economy.
