Gurkha awarded Conspicuous Gallantry Cross by the Queen

A Gurkha soldier who single-handedly fought off an attack on his base by Taliban insurgents, has been presented with the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross by the Queen at a ceremony in Buckingham Palace.

Acting Sergeant Dipprasad Pun used up all of his ammunition and resorted to using his machine gun tripod to repel the attack in Afghanistan in September 2010.
