My son was killed by a Taliban sniper

Chris Green talks to File on 4's Allan Urry about the death of his son, 23-year-old Corporal Richard Green, from the 3 Rifles, who was shot dead by a sniper on patrol in Sangin, Helmand Province, in March 2010.

In the past, the Taliban has tended to rely on improvised explosive device (IEDs), but in the past 15 months there has been an increase in the number of soldiers shot dead by Taliban marksmen.

File on 4 is broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday, 7 June at 2000 BST and Sunday, 12 June at 1700 BST. Listen again via the BBC iPlayer or download the podcast.
