Unpicking the evidence of the Lawrence case

David Norris and Gary Dobson have been convicted of the murder of Stephen Lawrence in south London in 1993.

The jury at the Old Bailey found the two men guilty after a five week-trial.

The court heard that cold case forensic evidence from the victim's clothing was found on Mr Dobson's jacket and cardigan.

Alan Tribe, manager of the Evidence Recovery Unit at the Metropolitan Police, explains how they set about the Stephen Lawrence cold case review from 2006 onwards based on scientific advances and recent experiences in other cases.
