Linking evidence to Lawrence suspects

David Norris and Gary Dobson have been convicted of the murder of Stephen Lawrence in south London in 1993.

The jury at the Old Bailey found the two men guilty after a six week-trial.

The court heard that cold case forensic evidence from the victim's clothing was found on Mr Dobson's jacket and cardigan.

Ros Hammond, scientific adviser at LGC Forensics, led the second stage of the cold case review of the Stephen Lawrence, investigating whether the evidence found on the exhibits could link suspects to the crime scene - or whether items had been contaminated because of poor handling by the police.
