PM offers to meet family of shot student Anuj Bidve

The parents of an Indian student killed in Salford on Boxing Day have visited the scene of his death to pray and pay tribute to their only son.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister David Cameron has offered his sympathy to the family and said that he would be happy to meet with them if they wished to do so.

Anuj Bidve, 23, was shot in the head at close range on 26 December as he walked along Ordsall Lane with friends.

Kiaran Stapleton, 20, of Ordsall, has been charged with his murder.
