Woman suffers racist acid attack in Salford

A woman has suffered burns to her chest and back after corrosive liquid was thrown on her while she was walking her baby in Salford.

The man is described as white and of stocky build. The woman said she heard him making a sexual and racist comment before the liquid was thrown on her.

Chief Inspector Mark Kenny of Greater Manchester Police said it was an ''unprovoked'' and ''very serious'' attack.
