Salford mother hurt in Pendleton racist acid attack

A Salford woman has been injured by a man who threw acid at her as she pushed her baby in a pram along a street.

The 29-year-old was in an underpass on Broad Street, Pendleton, on Thursday when a man in his 40s approached her.

He made a sexual and racist comment to her before throwing a container of corrosive liquid over her.

The BBC's Nick Ravenscroft says that the attack happened in broad daylight.
