Hosepipe ban: Water minister defends strategy

Water Minister Richard Benyon has defended the government's water management strategy, as hosepipe bans affecting about 20 million customers came into force in parts of southern and eastern England..

Speaking to the BBC, he insisted that drought was a "natural phenomenon" and said ministers had planned ahead to try to minimise any potential problems.
