Warning benefit changes may see fewer free school meals

Hundreds of thousands of England's poorest children could lose their entitlement to free school meals under planned changes to the welfare system, a charity has warned.

The Children's Society says plans to introduce a cap linked to household earnings mean thousands of children from poor families could risk losing their meals if their parents earn only slightly above the threshold.
